WANDA ROSE WILLIAMS

She was born November 17, 1947, at St. Mary's Hospital in Quincy, Illinois, daughter of Benjamin Henry Tarpein and Mabel (Miner) Tarpein.

On October 9, 1964, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Francis Williams in Knox City, Missouri.  He survives.

Wanda was a homemaker for many years.  She helped her husband Kenny in the field and working hay on their farm till she was no longer able.  Wanda was diagnosed with “Wilson's Disease” which over time began to cripple her body.  Later in life she worked for Wider Opportunities from January 1994 to 2009 working with consumers and received certification as a Med Tech.  She loved her job there.  She treated and loved her clients like family. Kenny and Wanda were part of a Farm Club that met monthly and she greatly looked forward to those times of fellowship with friends.  Wanda wanted many children but her disease did not allow that.  Her greatest joy and blessing in life was being able to have her son John.  That was her greatest achievement.    Wanda loved nothing more than watching her grandchildren participate in activities and read about their achievements.  She loved to visit with people.  Talking to her family, friends, and her nieces and nephews brought her much joy.  Family was everything that was important to Wanda and loved them all.  Her love for animals was immeasurable starting from when she was a small child.  Always wanting to help and taking them in.  She loved movies and music. She had her library logged in her head and could tell you every movie and CD she had.  Wanda attended Bunker Hill Church.  She was strong in her faith and was very much at peace knowing that the Lord would take care of her when her body could no longer.
