Wayland Woman And Unborn Son Killed in Two Vehicle Accident

A Wayland woman and her unborn son were killed Friday, October 30, in a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 27 one mile south of St. Francisville.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Tonya Ash, 31, was driving a 2004 Subaru Forester which pulled into the path of a southbound Ford F-150 truck, driving by Vincent Kueny, 72, of Alta, Iowa.
Ash was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Coroner Edwin Wilson. Also perishing in the crash was her unborn son, Tripp Hudnut.
Ash’s four-year-old daughter, Tinslee Mitchell, was transported by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Judy Kueny, 71, was transported to Keokuk Area Hospital by private vehicle.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Riley and the Major Crash Investigation Unit. Assisting at the scene were Clark County Ambulance, Clark County Rescue, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Lewis County Ambulance, Wayulnd Fire Department and Air Evac.
