Lawrence James Clark   Lawrence James Clark, age 99, of Edina, MO, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

He was born July 29, 1914, in Knox County, MO the son of James Patrick and Mary Mabel Kriegshauser Clark.

He was united in marriage to Lottie Marie Hall on May 4, 1946, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO.

Surviving are his wife Marie Clark of Edina, MO, four children, Larry Clark and wife Cleva of Edina, MO, Lou Ann (Annie) Ogilvie and husband Jerry, of Lake Lotawana, MO, Regina (Gina) Morin and husband Jerry of Columbia, MO, Jim Clark and wife Kyle of Edina, MO, two sisters, Erma Marsot of Canton, MO, Edith Welch of Trenton, MO, fifteen grandchildren, Mary Ann Rotert and husband Greg, Matt Clark and wife Bobbi, David Clark and wife Lisa, Samuel Myers and wife Jennifer, Nick Myers and wife Nicole, Mary Morin, Annie Morin, Katie Rucinski, Emily McLouth and husband Ryan, Alex Reel and husband Matt, Paul Clark, Jonathan Clark, Joshua Clark, Laura Clark and Natalie Clark, fourteen great grandchildren, John Clark, Patrick Clark, Teddy Clark, Levi Clark, Carli Clark, Jack Rucinski, Dylan Rucinski, Kara Jane McLouth, Parker Myers, Connor Myers, Agnes Reel, Elijah Reel, Sophie Reel, Thomas Reel, two step grandchildren, Brian Ogilvie and wife Monika, Blake Ogilvie and wife Julia, one step great-grand daughter Olivia Ogilvie, a brother and sister-in-law John and Alma Dee Daniel of Edina, MO, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Leona Moore and Rita Miller, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Moore, Louis Miller, Olen Welch, Vincent Marsot, Arthur and Vada Hall, Lester and Evia Hall, Russell and Viola Willey, Robert and Jane Hall, and Bertha Jean Hall.

Lawrence was raised in Knox County and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Edina.  He was engaged in farming all of his life in Knox County, living in the same home for the past 95 years.  Lawrence served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946.  Lawrence was employed for several years as a Loan Inspector for ASCS and was a substitute mail carrier on horseback.  Lawrence loved woodworking and refinished and built furniture after his retirement.  Lawrence had rebuilt and restored the Pulpit and various pieces at the St. Joseph Church.  He loved music and life and lived it to the fullest.  His gift to his family was his faith, keeping a positive attitude, a sense of humor but mostly his love to his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, in the Knox County Community Center in Edina, MO.   Father Joseph Hoi celebrated the Mass with Deacon Ken Berry assisting.  Burial with full military honors was held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Music was provided by Nancy Reardon, organist and his grandchildren. Casket bearers were his grandsons Samuel Myers, Nick Myers, Matt Clark, David Clark, Paul Clark and Joshua Clark. Honorary bearers were Jonathan Clark, Katie Rucinski, Mary Ann Rotert, Alex Reel, Emily McLouth, Laura Clark, Mary Morin, Annie Morin and Natalie Clark. Prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
