Roscoe(Buddy) Martin Neuendorf

Roscoe(Buddy) Martin Neuendorf, age 90, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Elmcroft in Tempe, Arizona.  He was born on July 13, 1925 in Kahoka, Missouri to Carl and Bernice Arnold Neuendorf. Roscoe grew up in Kahoka and graduated from Kahoka High School in 1943. After high school he joined the United States Navy in 1943 and proudly served until retiring in 1965, achieving the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer.   Roscoe served in WWII and the Korean War.

After retiring from the Navy he relocated from San Diego, California to Tempe, Arizona where he worked for Motorola until retiring after 20 years.

Roscoe is survived by his wife Dessie Lucille Neuendorf, originally from LaGrange, Missouri, two daughters, April (Gary) Skelton and Kathe Rodgers, three grandchildren, Commander Troy (Loretta) Fendrick, USN, Shyla (Scott) Roderick and Amber (Seth) Quick and five great grandchildren, Taylor Fendrick, Aidan Crean, Riley and Bryce Roderick and Gage Quick, as well as one sister, Maurine Gallaher.  He was predeceased by his sister Maxine Neuendorf Hunziker.

A family celebration of Roscoe’s life was held at the family home in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, April 9, 2016.  A military burial at sea will take place from the USS Jackson under the command of his grandson Commander Troy Fendrick.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society or the Companion Hospice.
