Roberta L. “Bobbe” Harrison, age 68, formerly of Revere, MO, died Wednesday,
July 22, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, MO.

Bobbe was born June 14, 1947 at Burlington, IA, a daughter of Floyd J. and Doris Nott Verdon.

On May 10, 1968, she was united in marriage to Dennis Edward “Eddie” Harrison in Mt. Pleasant, IA. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2009.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Kathy) Harrison of Luray, MO and Jason Harrison (Jennifer Nelson) of Revere, MO; two daughters, Missy Harrison of Eldon, MO and Dorrie Harrison of Wayland, MO; eight grandchildren: Tara and Tressa Harrison, of Luray, MO, Tanner and Tucker Harrison of Revere, MO, Kailynn (Mrs. Dean) Ekle of Iowa City, IA, Mandy Hunt (Dustin Edwards) of Eldon, MO, Jessica Lambert (Brian Bennett) of Ozark, MO; five great-grandchildren: Carson Ekle, Zaden Hunt, Owen and Mallori Edwards and Reagan Lambert; two brothers, Michael (Dee) Verdon of Lowell, MI, Todd (Sue) Verdon of Fort Madison, IA; one sister, Theresa (Mrs. Roger) Cook of Farmington, IA; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Irvin Peterson of Hollister, MO and Ronnie and Linda Harrison, of Revere, MO; special friends, Linda Spurgeon of Mt. Pleasant, IA and Winnie Sanford of North Carolina; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sister, Kana Peterson.

Bobbe was a graduate of Revere High School. She had been an employee of Swift and Co. before becoming the teacher at Head Start in Revere. She retired from Sheaffer Pen in Fort Madison.

Bobbe enjoyed doing needle punch and also ceramics at her mother’s shop in Wayland. She loved putting in garden and canning for her family. Playing cards at family gatherings was something she enjoyed a lot. Bobbe was a selfless, giving and caring person who put everyone else before herself. She was trusted because of her patience, non judgmental character, and the fact that she was a good listener. Her word of the day was “patience” and she used it as a word of wisdom to family and friends. She loved her family dearly and her dog, Ebbie.

A funeral service celebrating her life was held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10 am. at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating. Special music was recordings “I’ll Be”, “Angels Among Us”, and “Holes in the Floor of Heaven”.

Pallbearers were Travis Toops, Josh Verdon, Sean Verdon, Chris Peterson, Kevin Peterson and Kyle Peterson.

Burial was in the Revere Cemetery.

Visitation was held at Wilson Funeral Home after 1 p.m. on Friday with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials were suggested to the Revere Cemetery.
