Randy Parsons

  Randy Parsons, age 59, of Shelbyville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident 5 miles west of Novelty, Missouri, on route 156.

Randy was born October 6, 1955 in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Weldon L. and Erlene Calvert Parsons.  They preceded him in death.

Randy is survived by two brothers:  Bob Parsons and wife, Meredith, of Salem, Missouri, and Ronnie Parsons of Shelbyville, Missouri; two nephews:  Tom Parsons and wife Erin of Rolla, Missouri, and Tim Parsons and  wife, Monica, of Salem, Missouri;  four great-nephews:  Tyler Ragsdale, Kody Parsons, Canon Parsons and Cole Parsons.

Randy was a graduate of North Shelby High School Class of 1973, and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  He was on the cemetery board at the Bethel Zion Cemetery.  Randy was a regular at ADM at Novelty, Missouri, Belt Seed CO, Bichsel Spreading Service, and you could find him evenings at LD’s in Economy.  Randy farmed all of his life.  He loved his tractors and hunting.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri, with burial to follow at the Bethel Zion Cemetery, Bethel, Missouri.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, Missouri.  Memorials may be made in memory of Randy Parsons to Bethel Zion Cemetery.
