Kahoka Holds Flag Day Parade

Yes, it was a few days early.

Kahoka celebrated Flag Day on Thursday, June 11, with it’s annual Flag Day Parade around the square. More than 200 kids took part in the event, which has taken place for the past 18 years.

Flag Day is Sunday this year. Kahoka’s celebration was held early this year to allow the summer school students, who are not in school on Friday or weekends, to participate.

Cub Scout Pack 147 led the parade with a Color Guard, and Katie Ewart sang the National Anthem.

Below is a video of the parade, and enjoy the photo gallery. Check next week’s edition of The Media to see the winners.
