Anna Mae Bowen, age 66, of Clarence, MO, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Clarence Care Center in Clarence, MO.
She was born on December 6, 1947, in Columbia, MO, the daughter of Norman Lyman and Mildred Irene Stone Carr. On September 14, 1968, she was united in marriage to Frank N. Bowen in Columbia, MO. He survives.
Ann is also survived by one son, Terry Bowen and wife Lenna of Heartland, MO; three step-children, Frankie Bowen and wife Karen of Harrisburg, MO, Robert Bowen of Macon, MO and Barbara Downs and husband Buck of Sheridan, IN; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Carr of Panalooma, CA, Dale Carr of Centralia, MO and Tim Carr of Columbia, MO and two sisters, Mary Lou Sapp of Columbia, MO and Roxie Malyszko of Oxford, CT.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-son, Francis Bowen.
Ann was a member of the Heartland Academy Community Church. She attended the Johnson and Wales Culinary School for Ice Carving and was a cook at the University of Missouri and Ozark Steak House. Ann enjoyed cooking, crocheting, painting, horseback riding and quilting. Her family was the joy of her life and she cherished the time she spent with them.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11:00 am, in the Charlie’s Room at Heartland Lodge near Bethel, MO, with burial following in Heartland Cemetery.
