According to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Louis Perez, Josh Dole will resume his role as the Schuyler County Sheriff as soon as he is released from the custody of the Clark County Jail – unless an injunction to prevent Dole from taking back the authority of the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office is filed.
Perez has been the Acting Sheriff of Schuyler County since about 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, around the time Sheriff Dole was arrested.
According to Perez, the Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson is the point of contact for the media and further inquiries should go through him. We have not been able to get into contact with Wilson at this time.
Dole is being held on a $50,000 bond. More information will be released when it becomes available. See original story below.
