The Edina Fire Department responded to a house fire at approximately 7:30 a.m. on North Main Street about a block south of Smallwood/C&R Market.

Smoke could be seen coming from the house, which is unoccupied.

Behind the house a broken tree limb fell onto a power line. An Ameren Missouri technician was on the scene to disconnect the power. When the fuse was removed a loud bang came from the transformer. No one was injured.
