Betty Joyce Brookhart

Betty Joyce Brookhart   Betty Joyce Brookhart, age 71, of LaBelle, MO, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in the Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.
   She was born December 26, 1941, at Sweetwater, OK, the daughter of Granville and Helen Crawford Clymer.
She was married to Raymond Rassette, Jr. in 1959, and to this union three children were born.  On April 27, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dennis Ogle Brookhart.
   Surviving are her husband Dennis Ogle Brookhart of rural LaBelle, MO, five children, Rhonda Rassette of Newark, MO, Teresa Gartner and husband Chuck of Graham, WA, Dennis Wayne Brookhart of Burlington, IA, Billy Jack Brookhart and wife Shannon of Tacoma, WA, and Libby Goben and husband Scott of Kahoka, MO, two sisters Joanne Schield and husband Carl of Medicine Lodge, KS, and Wanda Schultz of Bear Creek, AZ, one brother-in-law, Vern Lockard and wife Glenna of Maple Valley, WA, one sister-in-law Faye Greek and husband Don of Shell Knob, MO, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Raymond Rassette, Jr., and Randy Rassette, one daughter Rachelle Rassette and one brother-in-law Bob Schultz.
   Mrs. Brookhart received her education at Great Bend, KS.  She lived in Seattle from 1974 to 1995 where she was employed as a waitress and restaurant manager.  She was also employed as an office manager for her husband at L & B Company.   She and her husband moved to Newark in 1995.  She loved her pets and spending time with her family.
   Funeral services were held Monday, November 18, 2013, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Pastor Charles Sharpe officiated at the services.  Burial was in the Novelty Cemetery.  Casket bearers were Roy Love, John Love, Jeff Love, Jim Simpson, Ronnie Rhoades and Scott Goben, Jr. Honorary bearers were Ronnie Buswell, Kenny Glover, Bob Peterson and Jim Davis.
