Knox County Top Seeded at Monroe City Softball Tournament

Knox County is seeded first at the August 31, 2013 Monroe City Varsity Softball Tournament. The Lady Eagles won the 2013 Monroe City Varsity Softball tournament championship by a 4-1 margin over Brookfield. Knox County went to the Class 1 softball final four in 2012. Brookfield advanced to the MSHSAA Softball Championships at Springfield in 2012 as well.

Knox County plays eighth seed Marion County in first round action at 10:30AM on the West Field. The Monroe City softball complex has two adjoining fields.

Fourth seed Canton takes on five seed Monroe City at 9AM on the West Field. Third seeded Clark County plays six seed North Shelby at 9AM on the East Field. Brookfield plays seventh seeded Marshall at 10:30AM completing first round action.

Consolation semi-final games begin at noon. Championship semi-finals start at 1:30PM. The seventh place and consolation championship games have 3PM first pitches. The championship and third place games start at 4:30PM.

Clark County and Canton were rained out of the 2012 third place game. Monroe City beat North Shelby for the 2012 Monroe City Tournament consolation championship.
