Michael Eugene Lawson

   Michael Eugene Lawson, age 62, of Hurdland, MO, died Thursday, August 1, 2013, at his home South of Hurdland.

He was born on January 26, 1951, at Kirksville, MO, the son of Wilbern Eugene and Vondalea Harmon Lawson.

Surviving are his mother Vondalea Ringer of Macon, MO, four children, Christopher Lawson and wife Lexis of Bellevue, NE, Melissa Brown and husband Sonny of Mulberry, FL, Christopher Justice and wife Ashley of Kentucky and Leslie Lawson of Kirksville, MO, two brothers Dale Lawson of Salado, TX, Rick Lawson of Hurdland, MO, one sister Angela Vinson and husband Robert of Bonaparte, IA, several grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father and long time companion Wilma Pinson.  Mike received his education in Adair County, MO.  He resided most of his life in Adair and Knox County where he was engaged in construction and carpentry.  Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Reverend Doug Wilson officiated the services.  Burial was in the South Bethel Cemetery northwest of Rutledge, MO. Casket bearers were Kirk Lawson, Mike Parrish, Mike Schrage, Harley Hamlin, Robby Vinson and Gary Rumley.
