Born June 25, 1942 in Edina, Missouri , Dick was the son of Leo F. and Georgia M. Karhoff Hunolt. He married Karen Sue Nutt on March 26, 1970 in Quincy. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2012.
Mr. Hunolt served his country in the U.S. Air Force. An avid outdoorsman, Dick enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, raising sheep and restoring old tractors and loved spending time with his family and friends.
A 1960 graduate of Baring High School, Dick was employed at Celotex for 20 years until his retirement.
Survivors include two daughters, Keva Williamson (Dana) and Kendra Hunolt both of Quincy; a son, Richard D. Hunolt of Quincy; nine grandchildren, Brittany Hunolt of Quincy, Anthony Sisk of Fairfield, IA, Kaden Schmidt of Quincy, Jonte Owens of Quincy, Kamric Kiture of Quincy, Kale Baker of Quincy, Isaiah Platt of Quincy, Rylee Platt of Quincy and Madison Henson of Quincy; three great grandchildren, Braiah Hunolt, Braylee Hunolt and Brailyn Hunolt; four brothers, George Hunolt (Lois) of Baring, MO, Robert Hunolt (Sandy) of Edina, MO, Leo Hunolt (Nancy) of Brashear, MO and Terry Hunolt (Theresa) of Baring, MO; two sisters, Barbara Rampy of Moberly, MO and Lois Hunziker (Kenny) of Knox City, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hunolt was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen Sue; a daughter, Shelly Hunolt; two grandchildren, Cory Baker and Jacob Platt and a brother-in-law, Bob Rampy.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at The Crossing at 929 Monroe by Pastor Jim Dennis.
Private inurnment with Military Honors will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Richard Hunolt Memorial Fund.
