Clark Co. Earns Five Medals At State Track Meet

SONY DSC b bourgeios discus1 lincoln jones 2Sophomore Renae Buschling earned two medals in the distance events of the Class 2 State track meet. Buschling ran the 1600 meters in 5:26.07 seconds for the sixth place medal. The sophomore won a bronze medal in the 3200 meters in 11:47.95 seconds. Sophomore Jessica Roberts placed fifth in the discus, with a throw of 113-11. Lincoln Jones placed fifth for Clark County in the boy’s shot put with a distance of 46’3 ½”. The top eight finishers in each event win medals and are considered All State in track and field. Senior Brandon Bourgeois took seventh place in the discus, with a toss of 128-7 Logan Prewit competed both the 200M and 400M races, placing 10th in the 400M preliminaries, and 14th in the 200M. Megan Oilar finished 11th overall in the girl’s shot put at 33’1/2”.
