Leon Clifford Blake, age 55, of Edina, MO, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
He was born on July 4, 1957, in Newton, MA, the son of Leon and Harriet Mae Whitmire Blake.
Cliff is survived by his parents Leon and Harriet Blake of Edina, MO, two children, Amanda Blake of Oklahoma and Misty Blake of Edina, MO, two brothers, Nicholas Wayne Blake and wife Vicky of Wentzville, MO, Martin Eric Blake and wife Andrea of Edina, MO, one sister Shari Annette Cline and husband Marty of St. Joseph, MO, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cliff was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Cliff received his education in St. Louis, MO. He worked for Perrigo’s Body Shop and McCauley’s Plumbing and Heating for several years. Cliff enjoyed cooking, helping others with odd jobs and spending time with family and friends.
Memorial services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend John Bode officiated at the services. Burial will be at a later date in the Linville Cemetery. Honorary bearers were Jerry Reeves, Ron McCauley, Nicholas Wayne Blake and Martin Eric Blake.
