Detectives with the Hannibal Police Department arrested Martez D. Peete at approximately 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, in connection with the January 28th shooting in the 400 block of N. Arch.

Detectives developed information that Peete was hiding at a residence in Mexico, Mo. Hannibal Detectives located Peete at the residence, hiding in an attic.

Peete was arrested without incident and placed in the Marion County Jail on a Parole Violation detainer and a 24 hour hold pending warrants from the shooting.

Hannibal Detectives were assisted with the arrest by officers of the Mexico Department of Public Safety.
