MUSIC SHOW IN KEOKUK AT HISTORIC DEPOT

MUSIC SHOW IN KEOKUK AT HISTORIC DEPOT

Rollin’ on the River in conjunction with the Keokuk Union Depot Commission will present Ben Cordes of the King Benny and Barbara Carr Bands on Saturday, January 19.  The venue will be the Union Depot Building on Keokuk’s Riverfront, with doors opening at 7 p.m.  Music will begin at 7:30 and a $12. donation at the door includes snacks and beverages.

Proceeds from the show will be shared by both organizations.  The Keokuk Union Depot Commission will use their proceeds for the ongoing restoration of the depot building, a beautiful historic structure and a fine example of the architecture of the day.

Rollin’ on the River will use their share of the proceeds to continue their efforts toward scholarships and their Instrument Lending Program.  Rollin’ on the River has announced that people bringing a gently used band instrument will receive a weekend pass to the 25th Annual Rollin’ on the River Blues Festival in August.

Come out and help support two exciting programs and hear one of the most premier musicians in the Midwest today.
