Troop B Chief Driver Examiner Cindy Anders Retires
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces on December 1, 2012, Troop B Chief Driver Examiner Cindy Anders retired after serving over 24 years with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Chief Anders began her career with the Patrol on September 1, 1988 as a driver examiner in Troop C, working out of the St. Charles, Missouri, examination station. In 1989, she was promoted to Driver Examiner II and assigned to the Troop C traveling driver examination crew, and in 1993, was promoted to Driver Examiner III in the same assignment. In September 1999, she was promoted to supervisor and was assigned to the Hazelwood, Missouri, driver examination station. In September 2006, she transferred to Troop B and was designated the supervisor of the Hannibal driver examination crew. On July 1, 2007, she was promoted to chief driver examiner. It is from this position she retires.
Cindy is a native of Quincy, Illinois, and graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School. She holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri; a master's degree in gerontology from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri; and a master's degree in counseling from Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Cindy and her husband, Martin, have five children: Becky Orf, of Bowling Green, Missouri; Corporal Brian Anders (assigned to Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control), of Hannibal, Missouri; Beth Holland, of Bowling Green, Missouri; Brad Anders, of Bowling Green, Missouri; and Ben Anders, of Bowling Green, Missouri. They also have five grandchildren ranging in ages from one to 12 years old.
