AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AND APPROVING SALARY AND WAGES FOR CERTAIN ELECTED OFFICERS, APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF KAHOKA, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMAN OF THE CITY OF KAHOKA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Aldermen of the City of Kahoka being fully advised in the premises and pursuant terms of Missouri Revised Statutes Section 79.270 do hereby set and affix the salaries, wages and compensation for the following named officers, both elected and appointed, as well as the following named employees for the City of Kahoka for the fiscal year beginning April 1, 2012 and ending March 31, 2013 herin as follows, to-wit:
GENERAL FUND
City Attorney $1500.00 per month
Fire Chief $250.00 per month
CEMETERY
Cemetery Sexton (John Hume) $2,700.00 per year
ANIMAL CONTROL
Dog Catcher (Bill Young) $7.75 per hour plus an extra $5.00 per animal
CITY POOL
Manager $3,800.00 per season
Assistant Pool Manager $7.25 per hour
WSI $7.25 per hour
Certified Lifeguards $7.25 per hour
CITY STREET DEPARTMENT
Street Supervisor (Ron Bourgeois) $11.80 per hour
Laborer (Kirk Huckey) $10.75 per hour
CITY WATER AND SEWER
Water Generation Supervisor (Jim Alderton) $12.05 per hour
Water/Sewer Supervisor (Kevin Yates) $14.40 per hour
David Edmondson $13.60 per hour
Lori Hogan $8.35 per hour
Nathan Kirchner $9.25 per hour
Tim Hardy $9.00 per hour
CITY ELECTRIC
George LeMaster $12.40 per hour
Chris Plant $12.50 per hour
Lineman Helper $18.00 per hour
Systems Technician and Journey Line-Man Second Stage $31.95 per hour
Journey Line Worker $35.190 per hour
CITY CABLE
Cable Supervisor (Scott Goben) $13.45 per hour
Kolt Kiger $9.00
CITY ASSISTANT
James Sherwood $12.25 per hour
In addition to the compensation set out herein the employees are further authorized additional compensation for vacation time, for (4) hours per month sick leave, 457 (four hundred fifty seven) retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage and family pool passes.
CITY CLERK salary $26,227.50 per year based on a minimum of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hour work week and additional time which may be required by the Mayor or the Board of Aldermen with no overtime, plus $50.00 for each council meeting and KCDI meeting attended.
In addition to the compensation set out herein the City Clerk is further authorized vacation time, four (4) hour per month sick leave, 457 (four hundred fifty-seven) retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage and a family pool pass.
CITY TREASURER salary $18,427.50 per year based on a minimum of thirty-seven and one-half (37.5) hour work week and additional time which may be required by the Mayor or the Board of Aldermen with no overtime.
In addition to the compensation set out herein the City Treasurer is further authorized vacation time, four (4) hour per month sick leave, 457 (four hundred fifty-seven) retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage and a family pool pass.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief of Police $29,383.00 per year payable every two weeks
Chief Deputy $27,036.60 per year payable every two weeks
Full time Police Officer $24,958.00 per year payable every two weeks
Part time Police officers $9.25 per hour payable every two weeks for ninety (90) day probation period increasing to $9.50 per hour payable every two weeks after probation period effective upon hiring date, hours to be fixed by the Police Board and Chief of Police; in addition to the compensation set out herein the part time Police officers are further authorized additional compensation for uniform allowance to be fixed by the Police Board and Chief of Police.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and Board of Alderman may authorize additional compensation in the form of overtime payments, vacation time, sick leave, 457 retirement plan, medical and dental insurance coverage for only employees of the City and not Officers of the City, which have not been specifically set out herein, from time to time.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and take effect on April 1, 2012 after its passage and approval.
