FRANK W. KRUEGER

Frank W. Krueger,age 87, of Edina, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, Missouri.


He was born July 16, 1923, at Edina, Missouri, the son of Harry and Cecilia Dolan Krueger. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Delaney June 26, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois.


Surviving are his wife Phyllis Krueger of Edina, Missouri, six children, Mark Krueger and wife Joetta of Kirksville, Missouri, Denise Yuskis and husband Rod of Warsaw, Illinois, Kirk Krueger and wife Nancy of Dallas, Texas, Kyle Clark and husband Jim of Edina, Missouri, Brad Krueger and wife Becky of Waterloo, Illinois, and Kem Krueger and wife Janelle of Laramie Wyoming, nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Krueger of Arnold, Missouri, and several cousins including Kay Daniels of Kirksville, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.


Frank was preceded in death by his parents, aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and John Fisher, (who raised him) and three brothers, Harold, Raymond and Lawrence Krueger.


Frank received his education in Edina graduating from St. Joseph Catholic High School in 1942. He was employed 13 years with the Post Office in Edina. He then entered a business partnership with Dr. T.D. O’Brien DVM at Edina Feed and Livestock Company and Knox County Soil Service Fertilizer Company until retirement. He then went back to work at Kelly Furniture at Kirksville, Missouri as a furniture repair tech until his second retirement in 2007.


Frank was a lifelong member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina and a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.


He was a former volunteer fireman with Edina Fire Department and active in several civic organizations, including the Chamber of commerce.


A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri. Father Joseph Hoi assisted by Deacon Ken Berry, officiated the services. After the services Frank will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.


Casket bearers were his grandsons. Honorary bearers were the staff of Knox County Nursing Home.
