South Shelby Ends Lady Indian Season

The Clark County Lady Indians gave the South Shelby Lady Birds all they could handle in the first round of the Class 3, District 7 matchup at Palmyra on Tuesday evening, March 1.
Clark County suprised the Lady Birds, pulling out to an early lead, but So. Shelby fought back to tie the game at 11 after the first quarter. Clark County outscored the Lady Birds 10-9 in the second quarter to take a 21-20 halftime lead.
South Shelby led most of the third period, but Clark County scored late knot the game at 33.
The Lady Indians got beat at the free throw line late, but kept it very close, ending their season with a 49-45 loss.
Megan Brennan had 15 points against the Lady Birds. Chelsea Edmondson was also in double figures with 13 points. Brittany Miller had seven, and Leighanne Moulder and Kailey?Roberts each had four points. Jenna Huston added two.
The Lady Indians will say goodbye to seniors Chelsea Edmondson, Leighanne Moulder, and Katie Simpson.
