Doris Walker, 77, of Quincy, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 in her home in Quincy.
She was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Rock Island, a daughter of Carl Marion and Emma Cecelia Vrombaut Ramsdale. On November 7, 1965, in Palmyra, Mo., she was united in marriage to Robert Walker. He survives.
Doris graduated from Bethel High School and was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Epworth, MO. She worked as a beautician for a number of years in Quincy, Lake of the Ozarks and Kirksville, Mo. She enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, Quincy Blue Devil basketball, the casino, fishing, crafts and her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Doris is survived by three children, Mike Novinger and wife Zaida of Shelbyville, Mo., Todd Novinger and wife Lori of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Reva Novinger of Edina; seven grandchildren, Tenille and Michaele Novinger, Ashley and Dustin Novinger, Natoshia and Jessica Rischar, and Angel Perez; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Parsons of Shelbina, Mo., and Emma Marie Campbell of Quincy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Phillip Ramsdale and an infant brother, Carl Ramsdale.
Services were Wednesday, February 23, 2011, in the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina by Terry Sheets. Burial was in Shelbina Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Donor’s choice.
