Dome Ready To Come Off
Updated 11:30 AM–The dome will not come off today. The contractor has decided he needs a larger crane, according to Clark County Clerk Leih Ann Hayden.
The dome of the Clark County Courthouse is ready to come off, but high winds may delay the removal.
Workers from Zimmerman Excavating of Rutledge, have the dome ready for for removal, with sixteen connection points inside the dome. A crane will be used to lift the dome off the courthouse, as the demolition work continues to prepare the sight for the construction of a new courthouse.

Are crews working to preserve the dome itself? For use in a park or at a museum… like the one they have in Quincy on the grounds of the Gardner Museum?
