RACHAEL C. FLYNN

Rachael Colleen Flynn, 58, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in her home.


Rachael was born Juen 4, 1952, in Burlington, IA, a daughter of Wayne and Jeannette Alexander Briscoe. She married Arthur James Flynn on September 21, 1974, in Colony Methodist Church in Colony. He survives.


Rachael grew up in LaBelle, graduating in the last senior class of LaBelle High School in 1970. She attended college at Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville where she earned her associate’s degree in business in 1974. After marriage, she lived in Fenton, Lake Saint Louis and then settled in Bowling Green in 1979.


Rachael worked for Dr. Steven Best and Dr. Flora Young for three years prior to taking a job at US Bank in March of 1992. she worked as commercial loan specialist, branch managere and retired aas commercial lender.


Rachael enjoyed quilting, sewing, antiquing, reading, taking nature walks and hiking. Aboce all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.


Other survivors include her mother; sons, Sean Michael Flynn and his wife, Kendra, of Bowling Green and Ryan James Flynn and his wife, Laine, of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Tristan Michael Flynn and Sophia Grace Flynn; her twin brother, Dennis R.”Worm” Briscoe and his wife, Peggy, of Williamstown; a sister, Carol Cottingham and her husband, Jeff, of Morton; and several nephews and nieces.


She is preceded in death by her father.


Services were Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mudd-Reach Funeral Home, Bowling Green, MO.
