On November 30, a pre-demolition meeting was held between Commissioners Paul Allen, Jerry Neyens and Roger Sedore, S&V Consultants representatives Debby Peterson and James Kempker, and Irwin Zimmerman of Zimmerman Excavating, the low bidder for the project. Also attended was Presiding Commissioner-elect Ron Brewer.
According to the meeting minutes, the contract to proceed with the demolition was signed, and the Commissioners asked him not to start for two weeks.
After Zimmerman left, the Commissioners and S&V Consultant representatives talked to Clark County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Summers about the letter from the Missouri Attorney General’s office, demanding repayment of the $57,500 emergency loan the county received.
On Thursday, December 2, Commissioner Jerry Neyens contacted Atmos Energy to inquire about the status of getting the gas line disconnected at the street. That had been requested on October 13, and had not been done.
