Larry Dean Hoover, 9 years old, of Rutledge, Missouri died Wednesday, October 27, 2010, just south of Rutledge, Missouri.
Larry was born on April 11, 2001, in Kirksville, Missouri the first child of Calvin Dale and Janell Joy Hoover.
He was a fourth grader at the Millport Mennonite School.
Larry is survived by his parents Calvin and Janell Hoover of Rutledge, Missouri; a brother, Delmas Lynn Hoover and a sister, Donna Beth Hoover; paternal grandparents, Carl and Lydia Hoover of Gorin, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Anna Mary Martin of Memphis, Missouri; great grandparents, Martin and Martha Hoover of Leola, Pennsylvania and Amanda Shirk of Myerstown, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Aaron Shirk; great grandparents, Isaac and Lydia Weaver and Amos and Annie Martin.
Funeral services were 9:30 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, at the Millport Mennonite Church south of Rutledge, Missouri.
Visitation was Sunday, October 31, 2010, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Mennonite Community Center south of Memphis, Missouri.
Burial was in the Millport Mennonite Cemetery.
Officiating were Abner Oberholtzer, Earl Oberholtzer, Luke Fox and Charles Zimmerman. Casket Bearers were Milford Hoover, Jeremy Weiler, Carl Robert Hoover and Daryl Martin.
The family requests no flowers, only your presence and prayers.
