New Attractions At Corn Fest
There are going to be several new attractions at Corn Fest this year. Monkey Mountain is one of them. It’s a larger than life kid-friendly climbing jamboree. It looks like a bounce house but there’s a lot more to do than just bounce. Kids get the chance to climb, explore, and crawl their way through the maze of layers then enjoy sliding down for another climb to the sky. Parents don’t have to stand on the sidelines with this one. You too can join the fun and monkey around with your kids.
Euro Bungee is expected to be a big hit too. It’s a bungee trampoline that flings you 25 feet in the air as you jump and flip on the inflated trampolines. The extreme air power jump, truly gives you the sensation of being weightless. It’s 100% safe and 200% fun. Experience the adrenaline rush of a bungee jump, as you perform gravity-defying moves. People will be harnessed to a bungee cord attached to long polls and be able to bounce off a trampoline.
The Great Lakes Timber Show will happen several times throughout the festival and features chainsaw carving, axe throwing, wood chopping, one and two-man crosscut sawing, modified chain sawing, and log rolling.
And what’s green and scaly and funny all over? Why, Grouchie Gatortm, of course. He’s the star of television’s “Gator Tales” and of his very own “reptile revue” featuring original backwoods tall tales from the dark & mysterious swamp. It’s great puppet theater.
You will find a listing of all the events scheduled for this year’s Knox County Corn Fest in this issue of the Sentinel.
