Indians Win On Road in Milan
Clark County’s basketball teams picked up a pair of road wins at Milan on Friday night, February 12.
The Lady Indians overcame a double digit halftime hole to beat the Lady Wildcats by a 74-70 margin.
Milan exploded with 31 second-quarter points, leaving the Lady Indians behind at the break. But Clark County rallied, scoring the first 14 of the second half, and dominating the final quarter.
Cady Flood led the Lady Indians with 21 points. Brook Wheeler had 18, and Megan Brennan had 16. Morgan Bertelli and Chelsea Edmondson each contributed eight, and Jorden Plenge added three.
In boy’s action, the Clark County Indians took advantage of double digit performances by Justin Alderton and Dakota Armstrong to defeat the Wildcats 72–57.
The Indians jumped ahead in the first quarter, powered by seven Dakota Armstrong points. By the half, they held a 10 point margin, 31-21.
The Indians put on another 21 point in the third period, and were outscored in the final quarter. But the scoring came to late for Wildcats, and Clark County cruised to a 72-57 win.
Justin Alderton led the Indian with 18, and Dakota Armstrong added 17. Neal Moon and Ryan Whiston each had nine,and Justin Oilar had eight. Jeremy Logsdon added five, and Kyle Kovar had four. Tommy Dever rounded out the Indian scoring with two points.
The Indians’ record is 8-12 overall, and 2-3 in conference.
