RAYMOND E. FUNK

Raymond Elvin Funk, 70, of rural Edina, Missouri, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at his residence west of Edina, Missouri.
Raymond was born on July 3, 1939, in Knox County, Missouri, the son of Gail and Beulah Baker Funk.
He was raised west of Edina, Missouri and attended the Rock Creek Rural School. Raymond farmed west of Edina, Missouri his entire life, except for a few years he lived in Arkansas to be near family. He served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed the outdoors.
On September 5, 1965, in Edina, Missouri, Raymond married Karrolyn Hatfield and to this union three children were born.
Raymond is survived by his son Spencer and his wife Bobbi Funk of Columbia, Missouri and Norman and his wife Rae Funk of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter, Crystal Funk of Columbia, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jaden and Trinitie Funk of the home in Columbia and Aaron Funk of Kansas City, Missouri; two step grandchildren, Chris and his wife Christina Picolet and Justin Picolet, a step great granddaughter, Mackinzie Picolet; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Gail and Beulah Funk; two brothers, Gene Funk and Carl Ed Funk; and a sister, Eva Morhman.
A memorial service was Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Doss Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
The family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
