  Luray Resident Arrested On Drug Charges

On September 18, 2009,
members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Clark County Sheriff’s
Department arrested Danny Hardy, 49, of Luray, Missouri, for nine felony charges
following an investigation of an illegal marijuana growing operation in rural
Clark County.  During the investigation, cultivated marijuana plants, processed
marijuana, methamphetamine, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia were seized.
 Hardy was charged with felony manufacturing of a controlled substance
(marijuana), felony possession of marijuana, felony possession of
methamphetamine, felony maintaining a public nuisance, felony unlawful
possession of drug paraphernalia-methamphetamine, felony unlawful possession of
drug paraphernalia -marijuana, felony unlawful possession of a firearm, felony
Clark County probation warrant, and felony state of Illinois probation warrant.
 He was incarcerated in the Clark County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

The charges for which Hardy was arrested
are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt.  Evidence in support of the
charges must be presented to a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is
determine guilt or innocence.
