Darrell W. Ash, 63, of Highland, IL died Sunday, Aug. 30 at
his residence. He was born April 14, 1946 in Clark County, Mo, the son of Alva
and Wilma Ash who preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Earlene; son, Cale (Crystal) Ash of
Seattle, WA; daughter Jill Ash of Lebanon, IL;
2 brothers and 5 sisters; Wendell (Jewel Ann) of Wyaconda, MO; Alva of
Wayland, MO; Dorothy (Joe) Leffler of Keokuk, IA; Hazel Crowe of Oconomowoc, WI; Wilma (Jesse) Forquer of Wyaconda,
MO; Zelda (Albert) Sturm and Doreen (Bill) Bergman of Kahoka, MO. Also
surviving are a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Ken
Keller of St. Charles, MO; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Mary
Barnes of Luray, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mr. Ash was employed as an account manager for Ecolab, Inc.
and served Prairie Farms Dairies in Southern Illinois and St. Louis, MO. He was
a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served during the Vietnam War era.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Darrell’s
memory to the American Cancer Society for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM)
A service to celebrate Darrell’s life was held at 1 PM on
Sun, Sept. 6 at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, IL.
Fellowship and refreshments with the family followed the service. According to
Darrell’s wishes, cremation was held.
