Mildred Lenore Lambert, age 95, resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, died at her home on August 16, 2009.
She was born on August 20, 1913, the daughter of John Harvey and Cora A. (Myers) Harding in Meadville, MO. On June 7, 1940, she married Joe Lambert in Linneus, MO. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1982. She attended rural Centerville School in Meadville and graduated from Meadville High School. She was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church and Hannah Circle of Methodist Church, Chillicothe Chapter #113 Order of Eastern Star, where she was a 50 year member, Chillicothe Garden Club, GFWC XIX Club, Grand River Historical Society, Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary, and Past Worthy High Priestess of Bethany White Shrine #13.
She is survived by two nieces, Donna Hamilton and husband, Jim of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Jennifer Golden and husband, Anthony of Kansas City, MO; five nephews, Steve Harding of Fulton, MO; Timmothy Harding of Fulton, MO; Aaron Harding of Denver, Colorado; Dwain Harding of Washington, MO; and Marvin Harding of LaBelle, MO; and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Robert Harding; and a sister, Winona Kulis.
Services were held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the United Methodist Church of Chillicothe, Missouri, with Rev. Bill Reese as Officiant. Music was by Barbara Cook and John Cook. Pallbearers were Mike Turner, Frank Jones, Mike Palmer, Tom Ashbrook, Raymond Harding, and Ed Douglas. Honorary Pallbearers are Dwain Harding, Marvin Harding, Tim Harding, and Jim Hamilton.
Interment is at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, arrangements were by the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
