DENNIS EDWARD “EDDIE” HARRISON

Dennis Edward “Eddie” Harrison, age 62, of Revere, MO, died
unexpectedly on Friday, April 3, 2009, at Kahoka, MO.

He was born July 8, 1946 at Fort Madison, IA, a son of Floyd E. and Marjorie
May Gee Harrison.

On May 10, 1968, he was united in marriage to Roberta “Bobbe”
Verdon in Mt. Pleasant, IA.

Survivors include his wife, “Bobbe”, of Revere, MO; two sons,
Michael Harrison and his wife, Kathy, of Luray, MO, and Jason Harrison and
Jennifer Nelson of Revere, MO; two daughters, Missy Harrison and Dennis Orton
of Barnett, MO, and Dorrie Harrison of Wayland, MO; eight grandchildren: Tara
and Tressa Harrison, Kailynn, Tucker, and Tanner Harrison, Mandy Orton and her
fiancé, Brad Hunt, Jessica
Lambert, and Trenton Toops; a brother, Ronnie Harrison and his wife, Linda, of
Revere, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Dee Verdon of Lowell,
MI, Todd and Sue Verdon of Fort Madison, IA, and, Theresa and Roger Cook of
Donnellson, IA; as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins, and other
relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Kana Peterson.

Eddie attended Revere School. He was a construction worker most of his life,
retiring at the age of 55 from the Local 525. Following his retirement, he
worked for local farmers and did various construction and other jobs in the
area. He spent a lot of time at Wilcoxson Trucking and at local restaurants,
visiting with his many friends. He loved to ride 4-wheelers and on Fridays got
acquainted with everyone working on the Avenue of the Saints from St.
Francisville to West Quincy as he rode that route inspecting their work and
progress. He also spent time helping others and cooked many pounds of fish and
chicken for local benefits with Jerry Redding and the Breakfast Club. Most of
all, he loved his family. They were his greatest treasures and richest
blessings.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Wilson
Funeral Home in Kahoka with Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating. Special music was
recordings “Remember When” and “Daddy’s Hands”.

Honorary Pallbearers were Ron Creger, Chuck Kerr, Roland Oilar, Bill Brewer,
Ben Walker, Rod Cannon, Mike Speer and Tyrel Kerr.

Pallbearers were Bud Shipley, Francis Shipley, Rick White, J. R. White,
Roger Ludwick and Andy Kerr.

Burial was in the Revere Cemetery.

Visitation was held after 11 a.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home with family
receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Memorials were suggested to the family.
