Myrtle L. Webber, 77, died Friday, March 6, 2009 in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois.
She was born July 29, 1933, in rural Bethel, Missouri, the daughter of Albert Lee and Lodema Myrtle Perry Gosney. She was married to Phillip Allensworth and later married Clarence Earl Webber on June 30, 1994 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2007.
Myrtle was employed by Motorola in Quincy, IL until they closed, and then was employed by Glenayre until she retired. After retirement she worked for Faithful Delivery Service until 2008. Myrtle enjoyed camping.
Myrtle was raised on a farm southeast of Novelty, MO and she graduated from Novelty High School in 1951.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Leon Allensworth and wife Ruth of Ewing, MO; a daughter, Beth Brocaille and husband Ed of Quincy; ten grandchildren—Jessie and Wendy Allensworth, Misty Herbert, Joey and Marty Allensworth, Lori Smyser, Scott, Bradley and Cara Bunch, and Allison Allensworth; 14 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Allensworth of Quincy; and a sister, Marlene Allensworth of Channahon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gene and Mark Allensworth and a grandson, Michael Allensworth.
Services were held Monday, March 9, 2009 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Pastor Lance Bonnell officiating. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.
