Sara Rae Davis, age 30, of Kirksville, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was born May 6, 1978, at Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Dr. Roy A. and Sandra Sue Turner Davis.
Surviving are her parents, Roy and Sandra Davis of Edina, Missouri, her grandmother, Lorene Davis of Columbia, Missouri, one sister, Susan E. Cardwell and husband Tony of New Bloomfield, Missouri, one niece Danielle Cardwell, one nephew Dillon Cardwell, aunts and uncles, Allen Turner of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Kay Turner of St. Clair, Missouri, Bill & Linda Davis of Independence, Missouri, Jane Perry of Columbia, Missouri, Anne and Brian Fitzpatrick of Columbia, Missouri, Glenda and Dave Blessman of Columbia, Missouri, and Cliff and Terry Davis of St. Louis, Missouri, a special friend Ronnie Rouse of Kirksville, Missouri, and numerous cousins and friends.
Sara was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Bert Davis, and her maternal grandparents, Jim and Barbara Turner.
Sara was a graduate of Knox County RI High School Class of 1997. She was employed at Wal Mart in Kirksville for three years and different clerical positions around Kirksville. At the time of her death she was volunteering at the Adair County Library.
Sara was a member of the Edina United Methodist Church. She was very outgoing and always had a smile for everyone she met. Sara enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Kirksville, Missouri.
Reverend Richard Northcut officiated the services. Burial was in Maple Hills Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Howard Florea, Doug St. Clair, Josh Williams, Steve Kolb, Brandon Givens and Kevin McGinnis.
Honorary bearers were Chris Rampani, Allen Turner, Dave Blessman and Bill Davis.
Visitation was after 4 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Kirksville, Missouri.
