William Edwards “Jr.” Waters
William Edwards “Jr.” Waters 79 of Woodville, Texas passed away September 25, 2008 at the Tyler County Hospital after a very lengthy illness.
He was born on January 19, 1929, an only child of William “Bill” Waters and Wavie Dochterman Waters of Wyaconda, Mo.
He was a graduate of the Wyaconda High School with the class of 1946.
On April 6, 1947 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Kearns of Wyaconda. They’d been married for 61 years.
Bill lived in Nederlland, Texas before moving to Tyler county in 1970.
He was a retired supervisor for Mobil Chemical oil with 38 years of service and a Korean Army Veteran. He was a member of the Indian Rock Masonic Lodge # 56 in Casper. Wy.
He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Waters, a daughter Donna and Donnie Ashworth of Woodville, a son Kurt and Sharon Waters of Kountze, Texas, granddaughters Tori Waters , Ashley Waters and Mariah Waters all of Kountze, Texas, brother and sister in laws Gene Brown of Gillette, Wy. Roy and Patty Kearns of Grand Junction, Colorado and Harry and Teresa Kearns of Kahoka, Mo, uncle Robert “Bub” Dochterman of Arbela, Mo and a aunt Edith Dochterman of Kahoka, Mo plus cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services where held Monday Sept 29,2008 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Officiating was Brother Rusty Wes, Pastor of the Hillister Assembly Of God with Masonic rites at the gravesite at Baker Bell Cemetery in Warren, Texas.
Memorials were made to the Hillister Building Fund Assembly of God.
Those attending the services from this area were Harry and Teresa Kearns and a cousin Harry Ossont of Denmark, Iowa
