Whether your music taste is country, pop, rock, jazz or blue grass, there will be something for everyone at this year’s Knox County Cornfestival.
Appearances by The Ultraviolet’s, St. Louis’ #1 Party and Dance band; Expressway, a local country band; Redwing, featuring Celtic, folk and blue grass music; 4/5th Jazz Quartet, a Jazz quartet from Truman; as well as performances by the Marcia Taylor Dancers, Kirksville, MO; Jessica Erwin, Memphis, MO; Ashley Thompson, singer; and Pablo Baum, an American Indian Storyteller and Flutist, featuring a living history display in the courtyard with demonstrations.
A Boss Hogg & Daisy Duke Look-A-Like Contest will be held at 9:00 p.m. on Friday evening, September 5, 2008. No entry form required. Show up dressed and ready with your best Boss Hogg or Daisy Duke impression. Winners of the contest will be the grand marshals for the parade on Saturday morning.
