THOMAS PHILLIP CRUMP
Thomas Phillip “Tommy” Crump, 80 of Hurdland, Missouri, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
The son of Seth and Maggie (Burnett) Crump, he was born July 30, 1927 in Glenwood, Missouri.
He is survived by a brother-in-law, Frank Taylor of Brashear, and a sister-in-law, Alice Jean Crump of Hurdland, Missouri, several nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Walter Cecil, Seth Junior and John Edward Crump; and four sisters: Georgia Taylor, Elda Mae Cornell, Lucille Gardner, and Ruth Rice.
Tommy received his education in Adair County and farmed all of his life in the rural Hurdland area.
He served in the US Navy (1951-1953) during the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 20, 2008 in the chapel of the Travis-Noe funeral Home with the Reverend Ralph Wheeler and Walter Burnett Jr. officiating.
Interment was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Lancaster.
Pallbearers were: Walter Burnett Jr., David Doctorian, David Shane Doctorian, Rick Pulliam, Steven Simmons, and Brice Simmons. Honorary Pallbearers were: Ethan Pulliam and Auston Pulliam.
