BESSIE MARIE BEVILL
Bessie Marie Bevill, age 77, of LaBelle, Missouri, formerly of Steffenville, MO, died Tuesday March 25, 2008 in the LaBelle Manor Care Center.
Born May 5, 1930, in Shelby County, MO, she was the daughter of Carl Wayne and Bessie Irene Brower Redmon.
December 24, 1950 she married Henry Wilson Bevill and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2000.
Mrs. Bevill attended the Cherry Dell grade school and was a graduate of Bethel High School. A homemaker, she loved working in her garden and flowers, canning , watching the birds and listening to music, both country and gospel. She loved being with her grandchildren and hearing of their activities and visiting by phone with her friends.
She is survived by a son: Darrell Bevill and fiancée, Maxine Kuhlmeier of Steffenville, MO, two daughters: Charlotte Goodwin and husband Charles of Edina, MO, and Phyllis Whitlatch and husband Kent of Steffenville, MO; six grandchildren: Austin, Angie and Alex Whitlatch, Rosa Marie Robertson and husband James, Jamie Wilson Blake and Terrie Jo Clary and husband Dan; seven great-grandchildren: Justin Wade Robertson and wife Violet, Quinn Blake, Katlyn Blake, Ashley Bullard, Summer Howell, James Duffy and Whitney Thompson, Two step-grandchildren: Ethan and Shane Clary and one great-great-grandson, Blake James Robertson.
Also surviving are two sisters: Rosa Lee Goings and husband James and Mildred Roberts, both of Shelbyville, MO and one brother: Wanye Redmon and wife Loretta of West Ely, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were two sisters, Zella Redmon and Nellie White and one brother in infancy Lester William Redmon.
Funeral Services were Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the Coder Funeral Chapel with Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. Burial was in the Asbury Chapel Cemetery south of Steffenville, MO.
