Indians Show Improvement In Palmyra Tourney

On Tuesday evening January 15 the Clark County Indians played their first game of the Palmyra Tournament against the Mark Twain Tigers.
The Tigers started five sophomores. In the opening quarter Javis Vineyard hit a pair of threes, Michael Brennan added 6, and the Indians took the quarter 20-13.
The second quarter saw Brennan add another 5 points. Ethan Allen added 4 and again the Indians came out 15-13, to hold a 35-26 halftime lead, behind Brennan’s 11 points.
In the third quarter the Indians put up 14 points behind Allen’s pair of threes, and 4 other Indians with 2 each, and the Indians led after three, 49-34.
 In the fourth quarter Lynn Williams chipped in 4 points, Colt Sommers added 3, along with Brennan, and the Indians outscored the Tigers 12-9, to move into the Semi Finals against the Bowling Green Bobcats, with a 61-43 victory.
Leading the way for the Indians was Ethan Allen with 15 points, followed by Michael Brennan with 14, Javis Vineyard, Colt Sommers and Lynn Williams with 8 each, and Scott McAfee and Bryan Plenge had 4 each.
The Indians lost to Bowling Green 50-34 in the semi-finals.
