Elsie Rose Cline

1910 – 2007

     Elsie Rose Cline, 97, of Wyaconda, MO, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.

     She was born on February 20, 1910 in Lonetree, IA, the daughter of Edd and Ethel Graham Swank.  On March 22, 1928, Elsie was united in marriage to Otto Cline in Muscatine, IA.  He preceded her in death.

     She was a member of the Wyaconda Christian Church and a member of OATS.  She enjoyed sewing, doing needlework projects, gardening, quilting and baking goodies for her grandchildren.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

    Elsie is survived by one son, Allison “Doc” Cline of Luray, MO, three daughters, Juanita Edlen and her husband Ara of Chillicothe, IL, Shirley Gates and her husband Calvin of Branson, MO, and Reita Noble and her husband Richard of West Point, IA, one brother Leroy Swank of Keokuk, IA, eighteen grandchildren, Joe Cline, Joni Webster, Mindy McIntosh and husband Craig, Donna Schmitz and husband David, Anita Osbon and husband Buddy, Walter Cline and his friend Jennifer, Virgil Cline and wife Debbie, Mary Leverton and husband Tom, Roy Cline and wife Janna, Linda Hoekman and husband Kevin, John Cline and wife Rose, Barbara Gault and husband Merv, Myrna Hayes and husband Todd, John Mohr and wife Malinda, Bonnie Bowmaster and husband David, Jerry Mohr and wife Sherri, Leanne Stuekerjuergen and husband Earl, Bruce Noble and wife Annette, forty-eight great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. 

     She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Ida Cline, two brothers, two sisters, one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at the Wyaconda Christian Church with Reverends Shawn McAfee and Stacy Nicholas officiating.  Burial will be in the Wyaconda Cemetery.

     Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church with the family meeting with friends at that time.

     Memorials may be made to the Wyaconda Christian Church.
