Doris M. Bradley
Doris Mae Bradley, age 81, of LaBelle, Missouri died Sunday, December 9, 2007, in the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born April 22, 1926, in Adams County, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest Henry and Mary Magdalene Kirlin Simon.
On December 26, 1945, in Mendon, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Glenn Elmer Reichert and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1960.
On January 10, 1962, in the Mendon, Illinois Lutheran church Parsonage she married Eldon C. Bradley and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son in infancy, and a sister, Reva Mary Simon.
Doris graduated in 1944 from Maplewood High School in Camp Point, Illinois. She was a homemaker and farm wife and a member of the First Christian Church of LaBelle where she was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship and Come Join Us Class. She loved cats and also enjoyed clipping news and family items from the local newspapers and Quincy Herald Whig.
Surviving are six children; Mae Sue Graves and husband Greg of Quincy, Illinois, David Reichert and wife JoAnn of Centralia, Missouri, Pauline Dosier and husband Jim of Lewistown, Missouri, Roy Reichert and wife Vicki of LaBelle, Missouri, Carolyn Jupp and husband Ian of Cambridge, England and Gene Bradley of Country Aire Retirement Estates of Lewistown, Missouri. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the Coder Funeral Chapel with Reverend Maynard Blackwood officiating. Burial was Thursday in the Mendon, Illinois Cemetery.
