Willa Mae Burkhart
Willa Mae Burkhart, age 94, of Memphis, Missouri, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, Missouri.
She was born June 27, 1913, at Rutledge, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Martin and Lucy Ann Buford Fowler.
On September 4, 1937, at Edina, Missouri she was united in marriage to Harry R. Burkhart and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1992.
Willa Mae was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Pansy Bertram.
Surviving are a nephew Charles Wilson and wife, Ann, of North Plains, Oregon.
Willa Mae was raised in Scotland County, Missouri and attended schools in Rutledge, Missouri.
She was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband resided in Rutledge, Missouri for many years where her husband operated a garage and service station. She and her husband also resided in Edina, Missouri for ten years and moved to Memphis in 1989, where she had since resided.
Graveside services were held 3 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2007, at the Pauline Cemetery in Rutledge, Missouri. The Reverend Steve Jarvis officiated the services.
