EMILY LOUISE BONE

 

   Emily Louise Bone, 94, of Edina, Missouri, died Sunday, October 7, 2007, at the Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

   Emily was born on March 24, 1913, the daughter of James Thomas and Laura Frances Schwarzweller Bone.

   She attended St. Joseph Catholic Schools graduating in the class of 1931 and Emily and her sister moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend business school.  She worked for Gulf Oil Company, in bookkeeping for more than 30 years before they moved their offices to Texas at which time she returned to Edina, Missouri.  Emily worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Cornelius, was the Edina City Clerk and spent several years at Gillaspy and Kincaid John-Deere in Edina before retiring.

   Emily was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri, the St. Ann’s Alter Society, and had been a member of the Edina Country Club. 

   She is survived by her niece, Betty Jo Gonnerman of Hurdland, Missouri; a nephew, C.J. and his wife, Carole McAnulty of Pine, Arizona; seven great nieces and nephews, Chris and his wife, Tracy Gonnerman of LaBelle, Missouri, Greg Gonnerman of Mesa, Arizona, Adam and his wife, Christiane Gonnerman of Kearny, New Jersey, Pat and his wife, Barbara McAnulty of Gilbert, Arizona, Barbara and her husband, Ray Grace of Tempe, Arizona, Terry and his wife, Vickie McAnulty of Phoenix, Arizona and J.R. and his wife, Nancy McAnulty of Mesa, Arizona.

   Emily was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mildred Bone and Nadine McAnulty.

   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri with burial in the St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.

   An expression of sympathy in memory of Emily Bone may be left to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Restoration Fund.  A memorial may be left at or mailed to the Doss Funeral Home 208 N. 4th Street, Edina, Missouri 63537.
