     Lula M. Norman, 98, of Keokuk, IA died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, IA.

     She was born on July 5, 1909 in Clark County, Missouri, the daughter of George W. and Mary George Ford Kennedy.  On September 22, 1928, Lula was united in marriage to Richard B. Norman in Keokuk, IA.  He preceded her in death on July 3, 1958.

     She had been employed at Graham Hospital in Keokuk for several years before her retirement.

     She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA and the Mariam White Shrine of Jerusalem #3 in Quincy, IL.

     Lula enjoyed crocheting, quilting and working on word search puzzles.  She loved children and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

     Lula is survived by one daughter-in-law, Donna Norman of Fairfield, IA, two grandsons, one great-grandchild, six nephews, twelve nieces and caregivers, Jack & Diane Curfman of Carthage, IL.

     She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, six sisters and three brothers.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend John Varner officiating.  Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.

     Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday with the family meeting with friends at that time.

     Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk, IA.
